Allergic Contact Dermatitis

Contact Dermatitis is a skin reaction that often takes place when a person is exposed to a allergen. It is a form of eczema that leaves the skin red, itchy, flaky and sometimes burning. If your exposure to A specific allergen is daily the symptoms can be chronic. Though contact dermatitis may not be painful or noticeable when it occurs on certain body parts, it can be very damaging emotionally.
When contact dermatitis appears as a rash on the face it can leave one scared not on the outside but emotionally on the inside. The symptoms can be a major source cause of depression for those who are unfortunate enough to have outbreaks. The outbreaks can occur around the nose, brow line, lips, jaw line and other parts of the face.
Allergic contact dermatitis reactions can occur from detergents, soap, and various chemicals for those that have a chemical sensitivity. The two main causes are allergens and irritants in both cases the reactions can be either acute or chronic. The reactions can be difficult to treat and diagnose because often exposure is from a common household item or from the workplace environment. If the skin is burning a cold compress can be applied a few times a day to sooth the skin. If symptoms do not go away or spread its important to seek medical advice for contact dermatitis treatment. What ever you do don't scratch it as you will only make it worse.
It may take some effort and work to reduce your contact dermatitis symptoms but by tracking your outbreaks and what triggered them hopefully their severity will be eliminated. You can also try some natural contact dermatitis treatments.
