Losing That Ugly Belly Fat


It's a known fact that too much belly fat affects over 65 percent of the population, making the majority of us come up with novel ideas to hide the bulge. But while trying to hide our "little" bulge, we are ignoring the major hazard it causes to our health.

There are a couple different types of belly fat - one being subcutaneous fat, the stuff under our skin which covers our ab muscles. The other kind is known as visceral fat and this fat is the stuff under the ab muscles and it goes around our internal organs. This fat is also commonly called the beer belly because it can really push out the abdomen into not very pretty dimensions. This visceral fat is the more dangerous of the two because it seems to let loose into our system inflammatory molecules.

Both subcutaneous and visceral fat can really increase the risk of heart disease,high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes and even sleep apnea where you at times stop breathing while asleep!

Okay - so we know the dangers of our ugly belly fat - how do we get rid of it? Is there any actual fixes without ordering something we see on television as the next stupendous fat loss tool? Mostly no...real fixes to our health issues do not come overnight. We need to decide we are going to get rid of our ugly, fatty bellies with common sense, which equates to changing our diet and adding proven exercise routines.

Yep...like it or not, we have to alter our lifestyles by altering our fast food eating mentality, along with the right exercise routine to get our metabolic rates heading in the correct direction. You can't do just one. It's another known fact that if we combine healthy eating AND routine exercise, we are more likely to get rid of the fat and keep it off than if we just curb our eating habits, or just exercise.

FYI - most exercise routines that we think will be our answer to getting rid of our belly fat such as weight training for different body areas, crunches and bends and the like do not work. We could do them for months on end and see very little results, which in turn irritates us to no end and tadah - our fat stays the same and maybe gets a little more fatty.
