Discover Weight Training For Skinny Runts.

How many of you wake up in the morning and the first thing you do is look in the mirror? But how many of you are pleased with your appearance? If you look more like a long distance marathon runner than a professional sprinter, don’t worry, you're definitely not alone.

There are quite a few who simply have trouble packing on the lean muscle mass they desire. Now that could be down to genetics, but one thing is for sure, you need to follow a different weight training program than those who seem to grow muscle overnight.

The #1 Rule To Gaining Muscle.

If you work out in the gym, what you need to be doing is get in and get out! Follow that advice from this day forward. Repeat it. Breathe it. Live it. Weight training is a calorie expensive activity, and the fact is, you need to save all the calories you can. So if you are working out every single day. Answer this question. How do you expect to grow? The truth is, whether you want to hear it or not, you won't, period.

Due to popular belief, you only grow when you are resting and generally, the skinnier you are, the more rest you are going to need. Now, that doesn't mean you should sit on the sofa for a few days in between workouts. It means that each training session should not consist of repeated sets. Followed by a rest, and then off to talk to the receptionist and then back for another twenty sets.

So if you want to chat up hot girls, go to a club or a bar. If you are serious about gaining muscle, you have to take your training seriously. There are no exceptions.

Isolated Exercises And Who Really Needs Them?

Does this sound familiar to you? bicep curls, followed by tricep kickbacks, followed by leg extensions, followed by chest flys, followed by…! The list goes on and on. One thing's for sure, ditch it now. Remember, if you are using a gym you've only got so much time available to you. Don't you want to get the most for your money? The chances are you do, so that means focusing, having a training strategy. Get yourself a full body workout program and you will find the key to unlocking new muscle mass.

But I Want To Be Big!

I know what you're thinking, so you want to be big, but at the same time, you don’t want to be fat either. Gaining fat weight is more a concept of diet than anything else so as long as you are being smart with your nutrition intake, you don't need to perform hours of cardio to remain lean. Excessive cardio will burn off those precious calories that could go towards building you new muscle mass.

If you want to keep cardio exercises for yor general health, fine, but limit this to two or three twenty minute sessions per week, maximum. And make it low to moderate as well. The only place to train intensively is in the weight room.

The Importance Of Rest.

REST? I hear you say. But rest between workouts is of the utmost importance for muscle growth. Your sleep is prime time when it comes to your body repairing itself and growing stronger. While you sleep, a growth hormone is released into your body. So short-circuit your sleep patterns and you are short-circuiting your results.

If you'd like, you could nutritionally stimulate the release of growth hormones by supplementing your diet with certain amino acids.

Technique For Muscle Growth.

Have you ever been in a gym and you see someone curling so much weight on the barbell that it looks like they've got more momentum then a fairground ride? The problem is they're working every muscle in their body except the one that the exercise was intended for. Not good. I bet that in about two weeks they're out with back pain.

You must maintain proper form throughout any weight lifting exercise, period. Not only is this important for the prevention of injuries, but also to see the muscular gains that you are looking for. If you cheat, you are only really cheating yourself. So is it worth it?

So if you want a new approach to your weight training sessions, get in, train hard and with proper technique, get out, eat and rest. Make this the year you finally shed your skinny image for good.
